「コララインとボタンの魔女」のスタジオ・ライカが製作した大ヒット・ストップモーション・アニメーション。
魔女狩りの歴史を持つ田舎町で暮らす11才のノーマン（コディ・スミット＝マクフィー）は、学校ではいじめられてばかりの陰気な雰囲気の少年。それもそのはず、ノーマンは死者と会話ができるという特殊な能力を持っいたのだ。しかし、魔女の呪いによって亡霊がゾンビとして街に復活しようとしているという話を叔父の霊から聞いたノーマンは、街を守ることができるのは自分しかいないと気づくのだが…。
