40年以上に渡り第一線で活躍し続けるロックバンド、ザ・ローリング・ストーンズを、彼らの熱狂的ファンだという巨匠マーティン・スコセッシ監督がアカデミー賞受賞撮影チームを率いて撮影されたライヴ・ドキュメンタリー。2006年秋に二ューヨークのビーコン・シアターで開催されたコンサートの全体像と舞台裏をあらゆる機材を駆使して撮影。このコンサートでは、過去のライブで演奏されなかった数々の曲を披露し、またクリスティーナ・アギレラ、ホワイト・ストライプスのジャック・ホワイト等豪華アーティストとの共演も実現。特典に未使用インタビュー、未使用ライブ映像を収録。
