ポール・シュレイダー監督、グレッグ・キニア、ウィレム・デフォーの新作。ラジオ・トークショーのホストを経て、60年代にはテレビ・コメディー・シリーズに主演していたボブ・クレイン（グレッグ・キニア）。あるとき偶然出会ったビデオエンジニア（ウィレム・デフォー）に誘われたのが運のツキ、ストリップ劇場の常連となり、夜の歓楽のとりこになってしまう。実在の人物をモデルにした風変わりな伝記映画。
