1968年、5月革命前夜のパリ。アンリ・ラングロワ主宰のシネマテーク・フランセーズの活動差し止めに反対して、大勢の映画好きの学生が結集していた。騒ぎの中、アメリカ人留学生マシュー（マイケル・ピット）は、双子の姉弟イザベル（エヴァ・グリーン）とテオ（ルイ・ガレル）に出会う。3人は意気投合し、マシューは彼らのアパルトマンで同居することになる。3人は映画当てゲームに興じ、次第に奔放な性の快楽に身を委ねていく・・・。
