|
航空会社のベテラン・パイロットであるウィリアム（デンゼル・ワシントン）は、飛行機の操縦では優れた腕を持ちながらも、コカインとアルコールに依存しきった生活を送っていた。ある時、いつものように酒を飲んで居眠りをしながらのフライトの最中、機体に異常が発生。急降下する機体を神業のような操縦で不時着させ多くの乗客の命を救い、ウィリアムは一躍ヒーローとなる。しかし、事故調査の過程で血液中にドラッグとアルコールが検出され、事故の責任を問われたウィリアムは、ラング弁護士（ドン・チードル）と共に飲酒の事実をもみ消そうとする。そしてウィリアムが最後に選んだ道とは…!?
