ジャン・コクトーによる1946年作品（原題"La Belle et la bete")を、クライテリオンがレストア版で再リリース。コクトーの魔術によるあまりにも甘く美しいラストシーンは、まさにファンタジーの傑作と言うにふさわしい。
今回のリリースでは、ボーナス・トラックとしてフィリップ・グラスのオペラ "La Belle Et La Bete"を5.1chで収録されている。ほかにはフィルム・ヒストリアンらによるコメンタリー、1995年撮影のキャスト・スタッフインタビュー、撮影のアンリ・アルカンインタビュー、コクトーのナレーション付きのオリジナル予告編、広告用スティル、ブックレットが含まれ、英語字幕についてはオリジナルフランス語の翻訳字幕（改訂字幕）とオペラ用の二種類が付いている。 |
