1799年、Sleepy Hollowという小さな村で不気味な首なし殺人が次々と起きる。ニューヨーク警察のクレーン刑事（ジョニー・デップ）が調査にあたるが・・。
ティム・バートン独特のスタイルがサスペンス映画の世界で実現された。Sleepy Hollow村の薄暗い風景と、ティム・バートンの特異な色彩が素晴らしい高品質で再現されている。まさに視覚に訴える映像。
音質にも優れ、音楽がここまでストーリーを盛り上げるのかと思わせる。迫力のサラウンドなどが体験できるわけではないが、映画のための音作りをしていると感じられる。DVDマニア向けというより純粋映画ファンのための一枚。 |
