1938年、オーストリア。厳格なトラップ家へ家庭教師としてやってきた修道女マリアは、その暖かい人柄と音楽を用いた教育法で、7人の子供たちから親しまれるが、父親であるトラップ大佐との衝突は絶えなかった。それでも次第に大佐に惹かれててゆくマリアは、やがて大佐の再婚話について知り、彼女は傷心のまま修道院に戻るのだが・・・。コメンタリーやインタビューなどの特典を収録。
古い作品であるにも関わらず、映像はなかなか良好。時折エッジ感があるが、全体的にはバランスが取れ、じっくり鑑賞できる水準である。
サウンドもナチュラルで快適。サラウンドは微妙だが、古くさい中に雰囲気が良く出ていて、十分楽しめる。音楽の広がり感も良好。 |
