|
『猿の惑星：創世記（ジェネシス）』『猿の惑星：新世紀（ライジング）』に続くシリーズ三作目。
より高い知能を持ち人類を脅かすようになった猿に対し、アメリカ軍との全面戦争が勃発して2年。冷酷な大佐（ウディ・ハレルソン）が率いる一派によって激しい攻撃を受け、猿のリーダーであるシーザー（アンディ・サーキス）は、妻と息子を殺されてしまう。大佐への恨みを募らせたシーザーは、仲間を連れて自ら大佐への復讐を果たすべき旅立つが…。シーザーの心の葛藤を中心に、猿対人間の最終決戦を描く。
監督は前作と同じくマット・リーヴス。
